Arak is a traditional alcoholic drink of the Middle Eastern countries; it is pure and colorless with a strong taste and a relative of the alcoholic drinks made from anise. Its color changes when mixed with other liquids. Its percentage of alcohol ranges between 40-63% and it is extracted from vine with the addition of anise. |

The history of Cognac | |
Cognac, also known as brandy, is an alcoholic drink distilled from grapes. It is manufactured in a way similar to wine and whisky except for the type of grapes it is made from. It was called cognac after Cognac city in the Charente department in southeastern France. In the rest of the world, it is called brandy.
